Network automation
A web application for repeatable MPLS L3VPN provisioning.
The project ↓An MPLS L3VPN automation application built during an internship at 3S Standard Sharing Software in Tunis. It connects customer service requests to repeatable network provisioning.
- The problem
- A service request needs to become a consistent network configuration.
- The solution
- A Flask application connects service requests to Python, Ansible, and Netmiko automation for VPN provisioning.
- The outcome
- A lab-validated provisioning workflow with admin/customer portals, routing choices, and WebSocket monitoring.
How it works.
Describe the service.
The interface collects the inputs needed for an MPLS L3VPN service.
Prepare the configuration.
Python, Ansible, and Netmiko handle VRFs, address allocation, and the selected PE–CE routing protocol.
Check it in the lab.
The resulting provisioning workflow is validated in EVE-NG.

Technical notes
From a service request to configuration
Flask admin and customer portals collect the service inputs. Python, Ansible, and Netmiko connect those requests to VRF creation, IPAM allocation, and network configuration.
Routing and monitoring
The application supports OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, or static PE–CE routing, with an optional traffic-engineering request. WebSocket updates bring monitoring into the interface. SQLite stores the application records.
Check the workflow in the lab
We used EVE-NG to validate the provisioning workflow. The diagram and application screens show the lab, the admin dashboard, and the router and connection management pages.
